Party looks for pregnant women

21 June 2016

The wedding, christening, communion season is in full swing. I’m sure a lot of you have several events to attend in the upcoming months ;)

Sometimes it can be a headache choosing what outfits to wear on these occasions; and even more so when you’re pregnant.

I recently went to my first wedding of several this year and even though I was 9 months pregnant I think I pulled off a maternity look that fulfilled all my needs.

I must say that this time, despite my huge baby bump, I didn’t go to the maternity section of any shop; I picked up a long, flowy, cheerful dress by Hoss Intropia that was very pretty and comfortable. In fact, I intend to have it altered after the baby is born so I can wear it again when I get my figure back (cross your fingers, isn’t that right, expert mothers? Oh, I hope so!).

The truth is I’ve been doing a ton of research these months to find the nicest outfits for these special occasions, and by far my favourite shop, which is full of pretty, well-made and affordable clothes (remember that maternity clothes aren’t exactly inexpensive) is ASOS maternity.

And since seeing is believing, why don’t you take a look for yourselves by visiting their website? But in case you’re interested, here’s a small selection of my favourite picks ;)

In any event, I also recommend you browse in “regular” shops. Many times it’s more a question of the dress adapting itself to our new figure, so something that’s a few sizes bigger than your regular size can be enough if you don’t want to walk away without the dress that caught your eye in the first place ;)

Good luck ladies – I hope you find the perfect outfit for that special occasion!
